About the Comeback Tour

The Comeback Tour is the realization of two women that it is time to take back our lives.  There will be a certain amount of soul baring and sarcasm, here.  If you, as a reader, have an issue with soul baring and/or sarcasm, then click onward to other pages.

Leslie:
I am exhausted.  My foot hurts.  My knee hurts.  I have no self control when it comes to food, and I have struggled with my weight for 10 years.

I started eating Paleo with my husband in early October.  After gaining and losing the same 15 pounds over and over for a year and a half, it is finally staying off.  I'm finally down to pre-pregnancy weight and have a hope and a prayer of losing the rest.

But, it's not enough.  I'm still exhausted.  I still hurt.  And the battle of self control is what has stalled my progress for the entire month of January.

I started the Weight Management System from Zeal for Life on January 30th, 2014.  After the testimonies I heard, I figured it was worth a try.  It seemed like a great supplement to my already pretty clean lifestyle.  My original plan for this blog was to document my journey with Zeal so that, in the event I decide to become a consultant, my testimony is already documented.  But, then, I listened to a sermon from Saddleback Church.  Pastor Warren is leading his congregation through 50 days of transformation.  7 weeks.  7 areas of life.  7 goals.  That sermon spoke to me, and I realized it is more than just my nutritional life that needed transformation.  In a single breath, my vision for this blog became much more.

I hit up my friend Joi, who had been posting about a "comeback" on Facebook.  I asked her if she wanted to blog with me, and if not, if I could copyright infringe on her "comeback" theme for my blog.  I not only discovered she had a similar, multifaceted vision for her own comeback.  She also happened to be reading The Purpose Driven Life, by the same Pastor Rick Warren.  We took it as a sign, and we started this blog.  Read her story below.

This blog is about us taking back our lives.  Our physical lives, our professional lives, our emotional lives, our spiritual lives, and more.  We welcome you to join us.  Travel the journey with us, or just cheer us on.  It's not so much about how we are choosing to do this, because that will change along the way.  It's that we are doing it at all.
